Yesterday, my mom and I took our annual Saturday trip to the feria to pick up our groceries for the week! We’ve been doing this for so long that it’s already a part of our routine and one of the things I look forward to most about the weekend!
“Feria” in Spanish can mean two things. (1) it can mean a fair, the kind that would make you think of a carnival or amusement park or (2) an opened-air fresh market in the street where venders go to sell their fresh produce. What better place to go for fresh grown groceries!
La feria that my mom and I go to on Saturdays is located in Escazu compared to another one located in Santa Ana on Sundays. La feria in Santa Ana is a lot closer to where we live but my mom and I have been going to the one in Escazu for such a long time that it’s kind of grown on us!
